Our Association seeks to provide a safe, fun, developmental experience for youth and families of Central Minnesota through participation in Baseball and Softball activities.


Try Baseball/Softball for Free

When: June 4th 10:00-11:15pm

Where: Rivers Edge Park 1300 Great Oak Drive Waite Park MN 56387

What: Kids ages 5-8 in the St. Cloud school district who are not currently playing baseball can come and try baseball for FREE. No equipment is necessary. This event will be led by the coaching staff from St. Cloud Cathedral and the St. Cloud Crush, along with members from their respective varsity baseball & softball teams.

Sign Up: Participants must register for this program in advance. There will be a limit on registrations taken on a first come first serve basis. There are two ways to sign up:

Summer 2022 Registration

Registration is still open for anyone ages 5-8 wanting to play baseball this summer. Please use your child’s age as of April 30, 2022 to help with registration for the appropriate age group.

T-Ball/Baseball - Ages 5 and 6

This level is intended for an introduction to baseball. Coaches will focus on the fundamentals and teach the game to all participants while focusing on having fun and learning. The season will begin on Monday, June 6th and conclude on Wednesday, July 27th. All activities will be at the Rivers Edge Complex in Waite Park on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:00pm. Each player will receive a Waite Park hat and team jersey.

Baseball - Ages 7 and 8

The next step in the progression for the baseball player. The players will continue to learn the game and focus on fundamentals to help with improvement. Before each game, a 15-20 minute practice session will take place and then a game will follow. The season will begin on Monday, June 6th and conclude on Wednesday, July 27th. All activities will be at the Rivers Edge Complex in Waite Park on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:30pm. Each player will receive a Waite Park hat and team jersey.

Do you need help paying
registration fees?

The Every Kid Sports Pass can help. Receive up to $150, four times per year, per child.

Do you qualify?

  • Is your child enrolled in Medicaid, SNAP, or WIC?
  • Is the sport recreational (not elite or travel team)?
  • Does the sport season lasts at least 4 weeks?
  • Is the child ages 4-18?

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be for a child, 4-18 years of age, who is currently enrolled in SNAP, ACA Insurance Program, WIC, or Foster Care system.
  • Must be registering for participation in a recreation-level sport hosted by a youth sports organization or school.
  • Must be registering for an upcoming sport season
