Our Association seeks to provide a safe, fun, developmental experience for youth and families of Central Minnesota through participation in Baseball and Softball activities.


2023 League Registration is now open!  Please click on the red button below to register your kid(s) for an age-appropriate baseball or softball team.  Information regarding each age level is below.  The deadline to register is April 10th!!

2023 League Information

Waite Park Babe Ruth - League Options 2023

Registration will open February 6, 2023 for local league options please use your child’s age as of April 30, 2023 to help with registration for the appropriate age group.

T-Ball/Baseball - ages 5 and 6

This level is intended for an introduction to baseball & softball. Coaches will focus on the fundamentals and teach the game to all participants focusing on having fun and learning. The season will begin on Monday, June 5th and conclude on Wednesday, July 27th. All activities will be at the Rivers Edge Complex in Waite Park on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:00pm. Each player will receive a Waite Park hat and team jersey.

What will your player need?

  • Baseball/softball glove

  • Baseball/softball helmet

  • Baseball/softball pants & rubber baseball/softball cleats (OPTIONAL)

Baseball - ages 7 and 8

The next step in the progression for the baseball player. The players will continue to learn the game and focus on fundamentals to help with improvement. Before each game a 15 practice session will take place and then a game will follow. The season will begin on Monday, June 5th and conclude on Wednesday, July 27th. All activities will be at the Rivers Edge Complex in Waite Park on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:15pm. Each player will receive a Waite Park hat and team jersey.

What will your player need?

  • Baseball/softball glove

  • Baseball/softball helmet

  • Baseball/softball pants & rubber baseball/softball cleats (OPTIONAL)

Central Minnesota Community Baseball League (CMCBL)

Parents of players playing CMCBL, welcome to the next level. CMCBL or Central Minnesota Community Baseball League is where all Waite Park baseball players that didn't try out for the traveling play. This level is more competitive than the 7-8 League and is also where Waite Park baseball transitions from playing in-house games to other teams from around the area.

What will your player need?

  • All white baseball pants

  • Royal blue socks (knee high)

  • Royal blue baseball belt

  • Baseball cleats (white, gray, royal blue, or red)

    • Rubber cleats (9U-11U)

    • Metal or rubber cleats (12U-15U)

  • USSSA Baseball bat (recommended/optional)

Age Divisions & Game Times

  • 9U (2nd & 3rd Grade): Games Monday/Wednesday 

  • 10U/11U (4th & 5th Grade): Games Tuesday/Thursday

  • 12U/13U (6th & 7th Grade): Games Monday/Wednesday

Important Dates

May 8: Practice starts for all age levels

May 22: Games begin for 9U

May 23: Games begin for 10U/11U

May 24: Games begin for 12U/13U

July 21-23: Year End CMCBL Tournaments - Times & Locations TBD

Softball - in house 8u

This level is for girls 8 and under as an introduction to the game of fastpitch softball. Practice & Games will be played on Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00pm or 7:15pm. Games will be played at the Waite Park Complex (Rivers Edge Park). Practices will begin Tuesday, June 6th. Games will begin mid June after a few practices. Season will end in late July.

What will your player need?

  • Baseball/softball glove

  • Baseball/softball helmet

  • Baseball/softball pants (preferably black) 

  • Rubber baseball/softball cleats (optional)

  • Softball bat (recommended/optional)

  • Softball Face Mask (recommended/optional)

St. Cloud Fastpitch League (formerly Waite Park In-house 10U-16/18U) 

Community Softball League for all St. Cloud players that didn't try out for the Waite Park travel teams.  Home and away games. Away travel will be to communities such as Sauk Rapids, Sartell, Rocori, Foley, Alexandria, Peirz, Albany and others Starting in June goes through July. 

What will your player need?

  • Baseball/softball glove

  • Baseball/softball helmet

  • Baseball/softball  Black pants

  • Cleats 

    • Rubber (10U-12U) 

    • Metal 14U-18U (optional - you can use rubber)

  • Softball bat

  • Softball Face Mask (recommended/optional)

  • 10U: Thursday Games 6pm Tuesday  Practice 

  • 12U: Tuesday Games 6pm Thursday  Practice 

  • 14U: Tuesday Games 6pm Thursday  Practice

Do you need help paying
registration fees?

The Every Kid Sports Pass can help. Receive up to $150, four times per year, per child.

Do you qualify?

  • Is your child enrolled in Medicaid, SNAP, or WIC?
  • Is the sport recreational (not elite or travel team)?
  • Does the sport season lasts at least 4 weeks?
  • Is the child ages 4-18?

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be for a child, 4-18 years of age, who is currently enrolled in SNAP, ACA Insurance Program, WIC, or Foster Care system.
  • Must be registering for participation in a recreation-level sport hosted by a youth sports organization or school.
  • Must be registering for an upcoming sport season
