Our Association seeks to provide a safe, fun, developmental experience for youth and families of Central Minnesota through participation in Baseball and Softball activities.

Waite Park Babe Ruth - League Options 2022

Registration will open February 1, 2022 for local league options please use your child’s age as of April 30, 2022 to help with registration for the appropriate age group. Please consider signing up to be a volunteer coach as those are critical to the success of each program.

T-Ball/Baseball - ages 5 and 6

This level is intended for an introduction to baseball. Coaches will focus on the fundamentals and teach the game to all participants focusing on having fun and learning. Players will participate in practices and games during the season. The season will begin on Monday, June 6th and conclude on Wednesday, July 27th. All activities will be at the Rivers Edge Complex in Waite Park on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:00pm. Each player will receive a Waite Park hat and team jersey.

Baseball - ages 7 and 8

The next step in the progression for the baseball player. The players will continue to learn the game and focus on fundamentals to help with improvement. The first 2-3 weeks of the season will be focused on practice and skill development. Once game play starts, players will play up to two games per week with coaches pitching. Before each game a 15 to 20 practice session will take place and then a game will follow. The season will begin on Monday, May 23rd and conclude on Wednesday, July 27th. All activities will be at the Rivers Edge Complex in Waite Park on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:30pm. Each player will receive a Waite Park hat and team jersey.

NEW IN 2022

Waite Park will participate in the Central Community Baseball League (CMCBL). The CMCBL is a league where Waite Park teams will compete against players from other local communities. Teams from Waite Park will compete against teams from Sauk Rapids, Sartell and Foley. Players registering for this level will be asked to attend an evaluation day on Saturday, April 23rd to assist with team development. Teams will be formed in early May and league games will start in mid to late May. Games for these leagues will take place in Waite Park and other communities throughout the year. Each age group will play a total of 13 games. An end of the year tournament will be held at each age level the weekend of July 15-17. Players will receive a Waite Park hat and jersey. Players registering for this league should either reside or attend school in the St. Cloud School District 742. CMCBL 9u - This is an introductory level for baseball which includes modified rules with players and coaches pitching. Players will have an opportunity to learn the game, play multiple positions and have fun competing. Games will be on Monday and Wednesday evenings with the season beginning on Monday, May 16. CMCBL 10/11u - Players will transition to full player pitch at this level. Skill development will be a focus for teams at this level as well as playing multiple positions and learning the game of baseball. League games will occur on Tuesday and Thursday nights with the season beginning on Monday, May 17th. CMCBL 12/13u - This level allows players to continue to play multiple positions, pitch and have fun competing against teams from other communities. League games will be held on Monday and Wednesday nights for teams in this age group with the season beginning on Monday, May 23rd.

registration fees?

The Every Kid Sports Pass can help. Receive up to $150, four times per year, per child.

Do you qualify?

  • Is your child enrolled in Medicaid, SNAP, or WIC?
  • Is the sport recreational (not elite or travel team)?
  • Does the sport season lasts at least 4 weeks?
  • Is the child ages 4-18?
