Fall League provides an opportunity for players to learn about the game and gain experience playing fastpitch softball.  It is meant to give players more game experience and get them ready for next year.  We do our best to not have tryouts, but if we run into a situation where there are too many players for one team and not enough for a 2nd  team, we may need to do try-outs at certain age levels.  We would like to keep all teams at 11-12 players per team. We want to give as many girls as possible the opportunity to play and a chance to improve their skills, which may require we combine age levels.

Open to:   Existing Waite Park Softball Players (travel or in house) and any girls that live or go to school in the St Cloud School District.   

Cost: $100 (Includes league fees, state tourney gate fee, practice facilities and t-shirt with number on the back)

Age Levels: Open for all 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U/18U

(Players should play in the age bracket that they will be next year – 2024, age as of August 31, 2023)

Fall Ball Schedule:  8U/10U play on Saturdays and 12U and older play on Sundays

8-Under & 10-Under

• Week 1 - August 19
• Week 2 - August 26
• Week 3 - September 9
• Week 4 - September 16
• Week 5 - STATE TOURNAMENT - September 23

12-Under, 14-Under, and High School (16U/18U)

• Week 1 - August 20
• Week 2 - August 27
• Week 3 - September 10
• Week 4 - September 17
• Week 5 - STATE TOURNAMENT - September 24

(5 week commitment, No games Labor Day Weekend)

Game times are typically either 12:00pm and 1:30pm or 3:00pm and 4:30pm for the first 4 weeks.   State Tourney starts in the morning and could last all day. 

Rules:

• Each team plays two games each Sunday/Saturday (8 games total for the first 4 weeks) State tournament you would play 2-4 games, those could be all day commitments.   65 minute games.
• Free substitution and round robin batting is mandatory, so everyone bats.

Field Locations:

• This will require travel. We will play in the Northwest Division, so typically most of your games will be played within 30-75 minutes of St Cloud.
• Last year our teams played in Elk River, Andover, Coon Rapids, Brooklyn Park, Spring Lake Park, Princeton,  Minnetrista, and Cambridge. State Tournaments are anywhere in the Metro area. 
• Its possible Waite Park could host some games and if we do, parent help will be needed
